Programs and projects may be
assessed for a variety of reasons, such as monitoring implementation, providing feedback for
ongoing improvement, or determining effectiveness. OIRA staff members are available to work
with faculty and staff on the various components of the assessment process, including
clarifying goals and outcomes, identifying appropriate data collection strategies,
developing assessment tools, collecting and processing data, analyzing and interpreting
data, reporting results, and promoting effective use of the findings.
