OIRA conducts research on topics of importance to the University, such as retention and campus climate. Research topics are prioritized based on

• the significance of the study for advancing institutional knowledge,
• the potential usefulness of results for improvement, and
• the availability of necessary resources.

• The University Six-Year Assessment Plan and the Two-Year Data Collection Schedule identify the current institutional research and assessment efforts of the University. The Six-Year Plan provides a long-term perspective regarding the University’s involvement in national research studies, external and internal reporting, accreditation, sponsored programs, internal research, assessment, and sponsored research. The Two-Year Schedule details these efforts over the next few semesters.
